The "installation" page have been updated to match version 1.3 specific compilation changes. The modern compilers behaviour (VIRTUAL_COV) is now set by default (see v1.3 announcement). This requires to add this option when compiling your own program. The next version will correct this by changing the VIRTUAL_COV to a NO_VIRTUAL_COV option.
Unfortunatelly, the tutorial is becoming really obsolete, particularly for the phylogenetic section. The code examples however have been updated for Bio++ 1.3.
